In order to find their ancestors nearly 700 years ago, the descendants of the Zheng family in Ruishan, South Korea, went through hardships and searched for more than 10 years, and finally found their roots in Pujiang.

Zhengzhai Town, Pujiang County, Jinhua is known as the first ancestral hall of the Zheng family in the south of the Yangtze River. On February 27, a gray haired Korean old man looked carefully at the plants, tables and chairs here, and was particularly excited. He said excitedly, "finally back home! I came to see grandpa!"

At this time, the villagers on one side laughed.

The tour group went to Pujiang River to find its roots

There are 111 Koreans in Pujiang with the old man, all surnamed Zheng, from Ruishan City, South Korea. After 682 years of separation, the descendants of the Zheng's mass meeting in Ruishan, South Korea, found their roots in Pujiang.

Among the 100 South Korean people who came to Pujiang this time, the oldest is 80 years old and the youngest is only 11 years old. According to the interpreter of the group, on the way to Pujiang in Shanghai, everyone was very excited at the thought of seeing their ancestors' home soon. Some even couldn't help shouting with joy: "I'm going to my ancestors!"

10 years of looking for relatives

According to Zheng Yuhuan, a 66 year old Pujiang native who is the president of the first cultural and Historical Research Association in the south of Pujiang River, as early as more than 10 years ago, the Zheng's mass Association in Ruishan, South Korea began to look for roots and ancestors in all parts of China. It was not until November 2001 that the seminar on Zheng's history and culture at home and abroad held in Xingyang, Henan Province ushered in the dawn of Zheng's long search for relatives in Ruishan, South Korea.

A total of 218 representatives from South Korea and 16 provinces and cities including Zhejiang, Fujian and Jiangsu attended the meeting, and Zheng Yuhuan was also invited to attend. During this period, he happened to live in the same room with South Korean representative Zheng Houyong. During the chat, Zheng Yuhuan learned that five people from South Korea came to China to find their roots. Zheng Yuhuan became interested in this Korean family and asked, "who is your Taigong?" Zheng Houyong said, "Zheng CHONGYING." Zheng Yuhuan turned over the Zheng family tree and was surprised to find that Zheng CHONGYING was also the ancestor of the Zheng family in Pujiang.

In order to ensure safety, Zheng Houyong and others from South Korea rushed to the libraries in Shanghai and Zhejiang to check the materials. It is clearly written in the data that Zheng CHONGYING's descendants, Zheng Chenbao, moved to gaoliruishan (now South Korea), which coincides with "Pujiang County, Jinhua Prefecture, Guanxiang, China, belongs to Zhejiang" recorded in the first chapter of the Zheng family tree of Ruishan in South Korea. There is no doubt that the Zheng family of Ruishan in South Korea and the first family in South Pujiang are of the same family.

For 682 years, the kinship has been closely linked again. On March 21, 2002, in Zheng Houyong et al

Under the leadership of, the Korean Ruishan bulk meeting sent an 8-person advance team to Pujiang to look for roots and ancestors. The two sides have been in close contact since then.

Villagers beat gongs and drums to welcome

The first family in Jiangnan, also known as Zheng's Yimen, has a long history since the Jianyan period of the Southern Song Dynasty.

After arriving in Pujiang, the South Korean root seeking group was warmly welcomed by the local government and villagers. Zhang zaichuang, Party Secretary of Zhengzhai town in Pujiang, told reporters: This is the largest foreign affairs group received by Pujiang County so far. Early in the morning, the villagers rushed to the entrance of the village to greet them with gongs and drums, share brotherhood with guests from afar, and hope that the friendship between the two countries will last forever.

Ancestors left Korea to become officials

Why did Zheng Chenbao, a descendant of the Zheng family in Pujiang, move to Ruishan, South Korea?

According to historical records, Zheng Chenbao was a minister in the Ministry of officials in the Song Dynasty. After the fall of the Song Dynasty, the Prime Minister of the Yuan Dynasty mobilized him to become an official, which was rejected by Zheng Shengbao. Zheng Chenbao immediately took his family members away from Hangzhou by boat. After a long time of wandering on the sea, they came to the moon watching island in gaolirui mountain and settled there.

On the moon watching Island, Zheng Chenbao and his wife lived a miserable life. They had three children, one of whom was Zheng Renqing, who later became the Prime Minister of Gaoli. The descendants of the Zheng family who moved from Pujiang have multiplied and expanded in Korea from generation to generation. So far, there are more than 50000 people.

Three times in a row, very excited

At lunch, the Korean compatriots were particularly excited. They gathered happily with the descendants of the first Zheng family in the south of Pujiang River, raised glasses frequently and poured out their strong family friendship.

Zheng Sheng, head of the South Korean root seeking group, went to Zhang zaichuang, Secretary of the Party committee of Zhengzhai Town, Pujiang, insisted on drinking a cup of wine with him, and said "very excited" three times in a row. He said happily: "think during the day and at night, and finally see where my roots are. I hope China is getting better and prosperous. I put my feelings here and bring them back."

Although Zheng yuanjiu, the oldest old man, was a little tired after a long journey, he was still happy to say that he was "as energetic as 30 years old".

Deputy head Zheng Qitian has two sons and two daughters. He is the only one who came this time, but he is also going to bring his children to Pujiang to find their roots and ask their ancestors.

Zheng bingxu, an old man who loves reading Chinese books on weekdays, wrote a short poem on the spot in Chinese and Korean characters: "seven hundred years, time and space surpass, blood is thicker than water, different branches have the same root, meet and thank you, the shadow of our ancestors, not far from China..."

Zhang zaichuang told reporters that the South Korean family search group has said that it will form a group every year, which will promote the development of local tourism. Many of them hold important positions in large companies in South Korea and have deep feelings for their hometown. They all say they want to contribute to the development of their hometown, which will also greatly promote the local investment attraction.

Are Zheng Mengpu's descendants the same?

In addition, the reporter learned from relevant materials that Zheng Zhouyong, founder of Hyundai Group, also came out of Ruishan. In 1915, Zheng Zhouyong was born in a peasant family in Tongchuan, Jiangyuan Road, North Korea. Later, he went to Seoul and founded the world-famous "modern group". In memory of the passing years, Zheng Zhouyong also bought a fertile land covering an area of about 38 square miles in Ruishan Bay, South Korea's west coast, for his own rice cultivation. In early 1936, Zheng Zhouyong returned to his hometown to marry his wife Bian Zhongshu, and then came to Seoul with his wife and family. In 1950, Zheng Zhouyong merged "modern automobile repair shop" and "modern civil engineering society" into Modern Construction Co., Ltd., which opened the prelude to the establishment of "modern Dynasty". His sixth son Zheng mengzhun is currently the vice president of FIFA.
